P&R MEETING MINUTES <br /> DECEMBER 2, 1992 <br /> PAGE THREE <br /> Committee member Navin is in charge. Committee member Navin <br /> noted that $90.00 was raised during the November 28 and 29 <br /> weekend. <br /> It was noted a $100.00 cash advance waa received from the City. <br /> It was noted that the food stand looks good. <br /> The Park and Recreation Committee noted that volunteers are <br /> needed for the next two weekends. <br /> Centerville Lions - Request for Donation <br /> Chairperson Dixon was not present to update. This will be tabled <br /> until the next meeting. <br /> Centennial Tittle Teague /Kelly's Knrner - Request for Ball Fields <br /> Tabled until next meeting. <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> Food Stand <br /> The Park and Recreation Committee reviewed a memo dated November <br /> 30, 1992 the Orville Hughes, Public Works Director, regarding the <br /> material and labor costs for the food stand. <br /> The Park and Recreation Committees was not informed of the costs <br /> before or during the project. The Park and Recreation Committee <br /> will not pay $918.28 to repair the food stand. <br /> Committee member Reisdorfer stated that no reasonable person <br /> would have put $918.28 into a chicken coop. <br /> Motion by Reisdorfer, second by Navin regarding the cost to <br /> repair of the food stand: <br /> this is definitely a fiscal irresponsibility on the <br /> part of the City; <br /> based on the original intent (to have simple, low cost <br /> repairs) we feel the City should foot the cost, <br /> AYE - Drilling, AYE - Navin, AYE - Reisdorfer, ABSTAIN - Larson, <br /> motion carried. <br /> ADJOURN <br /> Motion by Drilling, second by Reisdorfer to adjourn the meeting, <br /> motion carried unanimously.
