Pursuant to due call and notice thereof the Park and Recreation <br /> Committee of the City of Centerville held their regular meeting <br /> on Wednesday, May 6, 1992 at the City Hall. Chairperson Dixon <br /> called the meeting to order at 6 :40 p.m. Present: Drilling, <br /> Larson, Navin, Reisdorfer. <br /> APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> Motion by Reisdorfer, second by Drilling to approve the April 1, <br /> 1992 meeting minutes with the following amendment: <br /> page two, paragraph 8 <br /> Now Reads: '...Howard lake was the cheapest." <br /> Amend to Read: "...Howard Lake and Hugo Interstate Lumber <br /> are the cheapest price." <br /> motion carried unanimously. <br /> APPEARANCES <br /> Richard DeFoe - Waterworks Par <br /> Richard DeFoe, owner of the Waterworks Bar, was present to <br /> request that the Park and Recreation Committee consider waiving <br /> the $200 Tournament Fee for a tournament held on April 25, 1992 <br /> at Central Park. Mr. DeFoe noted that an employee of the <br /> Waterworks Bar had attempted to pay the $200 fee before holding <br /> the tournament, but that City Hall was closed on the Friday <br /> before the tournament. Chairperson Dixon had given permission to <br /> Mr. DeFoe to use the ball fields at Central Park for the <br /> tournament.. Mr. DeFoe noted that he did not believe that the <br /> Waterworks Bar will be using the Central Park fields this year. <br /> OLD BUSINESS <br /> Removal and Transplanting of Trees from the Proposed Municipal <br /> Site to City Park Land. <br /> Committee member Navin noted that he had received a bid for <br /> removal and transplanting of ten (10) trees at $35.00 per tree. <br /> Motion by Navin, second by Reisdorfer to accept the bid from <br /> Trees for Travel for the removal of ten (10) trees from the <br /> proposed municipal site at $35.00 per tree and transplanting the <br /> ten (10) trees at the Water Tower Park, motion carried <br /> unanimously. <br /> Lights at Hockey Rink <br /> Discussion of the hockey rink lights was tabled. <br /> Playground Rquipment Tnstallation at Water Tower Park <br /> The following is the approximate expenses incurred for <br /> installation of the playground equipment: <br /> - Power auger 2 days at $40.00 per day $ 80.00 <br /> - Tripple's Market $100.00 <br /> - Concrete $214.40 <br /> - Gopher One Call $ 25.00 <br />
