Park and Recreation Committee Meeting Minutes <br /> March 4, 1992 <br /> page three <br /> Tax Tncrement Financing <br /> The Park and Recreation Committee would like the <br /> Clerk /Administrator to advise as to the following with regard to <br /> Tax Increment Financing funds: <br /> 1) How much money is available for trails /sidewalks? <br /> 2) When would the funds be available? <br /> 3) When can such funds be used? <br /> North Metro Recreation Commission <br /> Motion by Dixon, second by Drilling to have City Staff contact <br /> Pat Turgeon, Chairperson North Metro Recreation Commission, and <br /> ask that she appear before the Park and Recreation Committee to <br /> update and discuss current issues, motion carried unanimously. <br /> Christmas Tree Chips <br /> The Park and Recreation Committee would like Orville Hughes, <br /> Public Works Director, to update the Committee on the chips from <br /> Lake Sanitation. <br /> Chiefs Bonner <br /> The Park and Recreation Committee would like the City Staff to <br /> contact the Soccer Club to inform them that it is okay to use the <br /> field at Central Park, but that the Chiefs Soccer Club advise as <br /> to the following: <br /> 1) A schedule as to when it will be used and thus <br /> available for other organizations; <br /> 2) If they would like a key for the bathrooms, a deposit <br /> is required; <br /> 3) They are responsible for marking the fields. <br /> City Celebration Committee <br /> Chairperson Dixon noted that he was approached about having a <br /> e <br /> Park and Recrea�.l Vi1 Committee member member servo the ri +y <br /> . ^. <br /> Celebration Committee. It appeared that the none of the Park and <br /> Recreation Committee members have the time at this point to <br /> participate. <br /> Discussion will continue at the next meeting. <br /> Appointment of Dale Larson to Park and Recreation Committee <br /> Motion by Reisdorfer, second by Dixon to recommend to the City <br /> Council that Dale Larson be appointed to the Park and Recreation <br /> Committee, motion carried unanimously. <br /> Farthkeepers. Tnc <br /> Regarding the request from Earthkeepers, Inc. to proclaim April <br /> 25, 19992 as Earth Day, the Park and Recreation Committee turns <br /> this over to the City Council with no recommendation. <br />
