Pursuant to due call and notice thereof the Park and Recreation <br /> Committee of the City of Centerville held their regular meeting <br /> on Wednesday, February 5, 1992 at the City Hall. Chairperson <br /> Dixon called the meeting to order at 6:50 p.m. Present: <br /> Reisdorfer, Drilling. Absent: Navin. <br /> MINUTES <br /> Motion by Reisdorfer, second by drilling to approve the December <br /> 5, 1991 meeting minutes, motion carried unanimously. <br /> Motion by Reisdorfer, second by drilling to approve the December <br /> 11, 1991 special meeting minutes, motion carried unanimously. <br /> APPEARANCES <br /> Orville Hughes, Puhlin Works Director - Lock at Warming House <br /> Orville Hughes, Public Works Director appeared before the Park <br /> and Recreation Committee to discuss an apparent problem of <br /> unknown persons getting into the warming house and messing things <br /> up, leaving it open and the heat on. <br /> Discussion on the locks being re- keyed: <br /> - Furnace and garage - 1 key <br /> - Concession - 1 key (no kids allowed to have key) <br /> - 5 masters for all doors, sign out for rooms kids; <br /> masters given Orville Hughes, City Hall and Neil <br /> Reisdorfer. <br /> - Re -key, "do not copy" written on keys, numbers on them. <br /> Approximately $200.00 cost. <br /> - Keys will be checked out by group using it and rink <br /> attendants - deposit required by group - fee will be <br /> how much it costs to re -key. <br /> - Orville Hughes will find out the price to re -key. <br /> It was discussed that a policy should be set that if key is lost <br /> by Rink Attendants, they should be responsible for covering the <br /> cost for the re- keying. <br /> Motion by Reisdorfer, second by Dixon to authorize the public <br /> works department to re -key the building at Central park, motion <br /> carried unanimously. <br /> Christmas Tree Chips <br /> Orville Hughes, Public Works Director, appeared before the Park <br /> and Recreation Comittee to discuss the chipping of the Christmas <br /> trees by Lake Sanitation. The Christmas trees were carried away <br /> by Lake Sanitation, no chips were returned. The chips that are <br /> at the Water Tower Park are from Northern States Power. <br /> Mr. Hughes noted that he would take care of the tree problem with <br /> Lake Sanitation. <br />
