Park and Recreation Meeting Minutes <br /> February 5, 1992 <br /> page two <br /> Motion by Dixon, second by Reisdorfer to direct the public works <br /> department to put wood chips on the trail south of Fox Run, <br /> motion carried unanimously. <br /> Game Machine at Central Park Building <br /> Chairperson Dixon will have the game machine removed. <br /> OLD BUSINESS <br /> Lights at Rink - Central Park <br /> Chairperson Dixon noted that Rivard Electric will replace the <br /> bulbs by Thursday, February 6, 1992. Rivard Electric is not <br /> going to hang any lights. After the bulbs are put in, Rivard <br /> Electric will give a quote for the brackets and hanging. <br /> The Park and Recreation Committee would like to direct City Staff <br /> to write a letter to Rivard Electric requesting a firm price <br /> quote and date of completion for the brackets and hanging of the <br /> lights. The work is not be started until it has been approved by <br /> the Park and Recreation Committee. <br /> Chairperson Drilling asked Webber Electric for a quote, but they <br /> would not do it unless the City waived liability for the lights <br /> and hanging. <br /> Agenda Ttems for the next meeting: <br /> Lights at Hockey Rink <br /> City Staff is request to make up a general letter <br /> asking for bracket and hanging bids for other electric <br /> companies. <br /> APPEARANCES <br /> Orville Hughes, Public Works Director - Bathroom Bricks need to <br /> be Sealed <br /> Orville Hughes, Public Works Director, noted that the bathroom <br /> bricks at the Central Park building need to be sealed. This <br /> would be a summer project. It would require at least two gallons <br /> per bathroom at a cost of approximately $15.00 per gallon. <br /> Carol Pelton, City Council member <br /> Council member Pelton appeared before the Park and Recreation <br /> Committee regarding the possibility of consolidation of the <br /> cities of Centerville and Lino Lakes. Council member Pelton <br /> would like the Park and Recreation Committee to prepare a written <br /> Park Master Plan that would be part of the City's Comprehensive <br /> Plan. The City of Centerville may have more say in park <br /> development if Centerville and Lino Lakes were to be consolidated <br /> if there is a plan. The Park and Recreation Committee should <br /> consider buying as much park land as possible now to ensure Park <br />
