Pursuant to due call and notice thereof the Park and Recreation <br /> Committee held a special meeting on Wednesday, December 11, 1991 <br /> at the Central Park Building. Chairperson Dixon called the <br /> meeting to order at 7:10 p.m. Present: Drilling, Navin, <br /> LeTendre, Reisdorfer. <br /> OLD BUSINESS <br /> J,ifhting for Hockey Rink at Central Park <br /> Chairperson Dixon noted that Rivard Electric has again been <br /> contacted regarding installation of the lights at the hockey <br /> rink, but they appear to be "dragging their feet ". As of this <br /> date they have not started the work. Rivard Electric also has <br /> not given the Park and Recreation Committee a dollar estimate. <br /> Motion by Reisdorfer, second by Dixon to still go with Rivard <br /> Electric, but have the Clerk /Administrator forward the bill from <br /> Rivard Electric to the Park and Recreation Committee for approval <br /> prior to payment, Aye - Reisdorfer; Aye - Dixon; Nay - LeTendre; <br /> Nay - Drilling; Nay - Navin, motion failed. <br /> Motion by Drilling, second Reisdorfer to authorize Chairperson <br /> Dixon to contact another contractor and receive a dollar and time <br /> estimate for the installation of the lights for the hockey rink <br /> at Central Park; <br /> - If the estimate is reasonable, Chairperson Dixon is to <br /> contact Rivard Electric notifying them of a time limit, <br /> motion carried unanimously. <br /> Park Dedication Rands <br /> Committee member Drilling mentioned her discussion with members <br /> of the City Council who felt that the Park and Recreation <br /> Committee should have approximately $90,000 of Park Dedication <br /> funds available. <br /> Motion by Drilling, second by LeTendre to direct the <br /> Clerk /Administrator to give to the Park and Recreation Committee <br /> a detailed report of all Park Dedication Funds available; <br /> - detailed by year received; <br /> - and an explanation of how the interest on said funds <br /> were allocated to the Park and Recreation Committee, <br /> motion carried unanimously. <br /> Water Tower Park Equipment <br /> Motion by Drilling, second by Reisdorfer to recommend to the City <br /> Council accept the bid from Earl Anderson Landscape for an <br /> approximate dollar or $12,000 for structures for the first phase <br /> of the park playground equipment; <br /> - Committee member Drilling is to work out payment terms <br /> with the company, <br /> motion carried unanimously. <br />
