Wood is a proven material that has been used for centuries in all
II types of outdoor construction. Wood is a renewable resource and is the most abundantly used
construction material. Wood is the least expensive material for skate park construction, but it is
also one of the best. Because of the construction characteristics of wood we are able to ensure our
Ill ramps are built right and perfect to skate on with just the right amount of give. Most skaters prefer
to ride on wood ramps. Today's pressure treated wood products have lifetime warrantees and are
designed to last many years in all types of outdoor climates. Wood allows TrueRide to custom
design ramps to fit our clients needs and also adapt our designs to meet this rapidly changing sport.
II Metal framed ramps are more expensive to build and not necessarily longer lasting or stronger than
our wooden framed ramps. Wood ramps can allow for semi portability of skating equipment.
Wood is consistent, renewable, affordable, long lasting, and a good choice for skate park
III construction.
Proven Designs:
I With our extensive experience building skate parks you can expect to get the right equipment for
your skate park and for the budget you have to work with. With the help of Computer Assisted
Design (CAD) we create a conceptual layout of your desired skate park. This allows you to see
U your skate park on paper and to make changes before it's built. The equipment designs we use at
TrueRide Inc. are state of the art in the industry. With ten years of equipment design and
construction under our tool belts our ramps have proven to be precisely what skaters want. We
know how to build half pipes and street style equipment for professional riders and the beginner
and our equipment can be used by skateboarders, in -line skaters, and BMX bikers. All equipment
designs have been perfected and skated to ensure our ramps will feel right to the skater as well as
rim last longer. We will recommend pieces that work together and we design each layout with safety in
mind. TmeRide offers both consultation and CAD services as a free service to our clients.
i Construction: "If it's not right, it's wrong!":
II TrueRide Inc. builds only high quality, safe, and durable outdoor skate park equipment. TrueRide
ramps are constructed using the highest quality exterior grade materials we can find. All ramps are
framed in 6' widths with 2" x 6" treated Southern Yellow Pine studs spaced every 8" on center
and fastened with 3" exterior grade screws. The sides of the ramps are 3/4" Marine Tech
plywood. Two layers of 1/2" treated plywood are glued and fastened with 2" galvanized screws to
the face of all radius styled ramps. Decks and Box Tops get one layer of 3/4 inch Marine Tech
plywood also screwed and glued to all studs. We have found our ramps built in 6' widths have
greater rigidity and greatly increased strength. All ramps are bolted together during installation to
create a one piece design that is incredibly sturdy. On cement pads we also anchor the ramps to the
pad with heavy -duty sleeve bolts. We build safety railings extremely sturdy with 4" x 4" treated
