MEMO
Date: June 1, 2000
To: Chairperson Michael Navin
Park and Recreation Committee
From: Jill Lien
Re: On -Site Sanitation Invoices
Ms. Teresa Bender (Clerk/Treasurer) felt it important for you to get a copy of the
invoices submitted by On -Site Sanitation for the three parks. She is looking for
your approval, so she can issue a check to them.
In addition to the invoice, staff and public works employees have questioned why
the Parks and Recreation Committee only elected to place satellites at three of the
five parks. More specifically, why didn't satellites go into all of the parks?
Children are playing at all of the parks, and it is just as difficult for children to go
all the way home from the two parks that don't have satellites, as it is from the
three that have them. Do we want children relieving themselves on park
equipment or trees in the parks? Please consider providing satellites at all parks.
Thank you!
