There were numerous last minute
garage sales that were too late to be added to the printed list. We have had numerous
calls about the clean -up day tomorrow. The event is located at public works and runs from
8:00 -2:00. Clean out your garage and take advantage of the event.
" The Fete des Lacs committee met last night. We are continuing to fine tune the
scheduled events for the celebration. The committee had a conference call with the owner
of the carnival to clarify the contract with them. The committee also approved the new
design for the Fete des Lacs buttons.
* The Business Appreciation Dinner is on schedule for next Tuesday evening. Tim
Rehbine is placing reminder calls to all of the businesses.
* I have received some exciting information about a new grant opportunity through the Met
Council that could aid us in redeveloping the old public works site. This grant application
will be on the next agenda for committees and Council.
* 1 had a meeting with Rick Anderson from US West on Wednesday of this week. I met
with Rick to explain the timing of Centerville development in the next fifteen years to aid
him in making infrastructure decisions for our community. The long range planning for US
West used to be completed out of a Denver office. They have now moved this
responsibility back to the Twin Cities staff.
* Paul Palzer and I met with City Engineer Tom Peterson yesterday. We discussed the
status of all current and potential future development projects.
* The interconnect meters were read earlier this week. The meters indicated that water
has moved back and forth between both the Cities of Lino Lakes and Centerville. Some
fine adjustments need to made with the pressure sensors of the valves. Lino and
5/19/00
