ru c u1 L
Centerville staff are going to meet with the interconnect installer next week.
There is a meeting at 2 :00 next week Monday at the RCWD
offices in Arden Hills. The
meeting is to discuss the proposed addition of a low flow culvert under I -35E that would
discharge into Clearwater Creek. This project is to assist upstream property owners in their
future development efforts. The supporting study that was sent to the City in regards to this
project is a compilation of highly technical data and jargon produced from a hydraulic
modeling study by the RCWD district engineers. I expressed concern about this report to
our engineering firm and the proposed downstream impact to Centerville. I am very
impressed by the written response forwarded to the RCWD from the water resource
specialist Dan Edgerton from our engineering firm. Mr. Edgerton created two pages of
specific questions that he wants answered by the RCWD engineers. I was told by Kate
Drewry (RCWD Administrator) that the impact to Centerville would only occur in low flow
scenarios. I will attend this meeting along with Paul Palzer. We will report back our
findings. This meeting is being held prior to formal public hearings on the proposed
project.
* Enjoy your weekend!
5/19/00
