Phase I — Downtown Revitalization <br /> Mr. March reported that there was a new time line for the grant application. <br /> There was a petition for water for the downtown area — they are short one <br /> signature. They need 35% of the property owners to sign to have the project move <br /> forward. The Downtown Revitalization — business owners and homeowners are <br /> interested but would like more information. <br /> Star City Goals and Objectives <br /> a. Winter Activity <br /> Mr. Montain stated that he would contact local business owners in regards to <br /> activities, funding, etc. <br /> Mr. Rehbine suggested a winter carnival. Mr. Rehbine and other members <br /> suggested some activities such as: snowshoe softball and snowshoe racing. <br /> b. City Merchandise Ordered <br /> City merchandise was discussed. Ms. Dorn commented that she would participate <br /> in selling city merchandise at the warming house. Mr. Rehbine commented that <br /> would sell merchandise from his tractor during the parade. <br /> Ordinance #4 Update <br /> Mr. March reported that there would be a joint workshop with City Council and Planning <br /> 2UIU tUIUI % 011 vv J uly 1>, 4000. <br /> Mr. March noted that for this upcoming election that there are 2 council seats available <br /> and the Mayor's. Also, there are two seats available on the Park and Recreation <br /> Committee. <br /> Business Owners Comments <br /> No report given. Ms. Sheller mentioned that there could be a letter issued to the business <br /> owners that didn't make it the Business Appreciation Dinner to notice that they weren't <br /> there and that they were missed. Ms. Sheller thought this would be a good practice for <br /> next year. <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> Grant Application <br /> Mr. March received two grant applications —1 from Wal -Mart ($4,000 to $8000) and 1 <br /> from State Farm called the Good Neighbor Grant for $500.00. <br /> Mr. Rehbine made a motion to fill out these applications, seconded by Ms. Sheller. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br />
