There was discussion <br /> on the overall price of the property and Mr. Huber's indicated there has been <br /> unanticipated expenses and his price will be $20,000 over and above what he <br /> originally expected. Mr. Hubers indicated when he spoke with Mayor Wilhaber a <br /> few months back; they had discussed a price range of $350,000 to $400,00. <br /> Mayor Wilharber stated he would be leaning toward the $350,000, but that the <br /> final offer would need to be negotiated with Mr. March, and the entire Council. <br /> Mr. Wilharber added he understands Mr. Huber's need to have a decision and <br /> included the Council is looking strongly at the proposal due to the process being <br /> important for the City's plan to redevelop the downtown. Mr. March will forward <br /> a copy of the draft purchase agreement to Mr. Hubers for his review. <br /> Motion by Council Member Sweeney, seconded by Council Member Nelson <br /> to have Jim March meet with property owner Dick Hubers and bring a <br /> recommendation back to Council. All in favor. Motion carried <br /> unanimously. <br /> Lift Station #2 <br /> Mr. Palzer indicated this lift station is the most critical lift station in the City and <br /> is currently served by approximately 160 homes. Mr. Palzer added the City has <br /> had problems with this station and public works has been called out on this lift <br /> station at least a dozen times last year. Mr. Palzer stated we would be purchasing <br /> a more reliable system in addition to beautifying the area. <br /> Motion by Council Member Sweeney, seconded by Council Member Nelson <br /> to approve the plans/specifications and authorize the project for bid. All in <br /> favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> IX. NEW BUSINESS <br /> Laurie LaMotte Park Dedication <br /> Mr. Sweeney indicated that due to the amount of work completed in the park, the <br /> Park and Recreation committee would like to have a formal dedication to the <br /> park, inviting all past and present park and recreation as well as current Council <br /> members to attend. The Park and Recreation committee will set a date for this <br /> summer. <br /> Motion by Council Member Nelson, seconded by Council Member Sweeney <br /> to approve the requested Laurie LaMotte Park Dedication. All in favor. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> A... intment of B. Brainard to the P : • and Zo ' Commicsi. n <br /> Motion by Council Member Sweeney, seconded by Council Member • <br /> Broussard Vickers to appoint Barry Brainard to the Planning and Zoning <br /> Commission.
