Community Development Block Grant <br /> Mr. March explained the process of the Community Development Block Grant <br /> program. The two agencies are going to all of the communities and asking for <br /> substantially more funds than the $1000 they are requesting from Centerville. <br /> The agencies have submitted an application to receive the federal funds. If the <br /> funds are approved, we will submit the application back to the County and the <br /> County in turn will release the funds to the agency. <br /> Motion by Council Member Nelson, seconded by Council Member Broussard <br /> Vickers to approve the Community Development Block Grant funds request. <br /> All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Met Council Lot Split <br /> Mr. March indicated the Met Council purchased land around the lift station in <br /> LaMotte Park from St. Genevieve's Church. The Council needs to approve the <br /> lot split so it can be recorded at the County. <br /> Motion by Council Member Broussard Vickers, seconded by Council <br /> Member Sweeney to approve the Met Council Lot Split. All in favor. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Joint Meeting with City of Lino Lakes and Margaret Langfeld <br /> Mayor Wilharber shared the request from Anoka County Commissioner Margaret <br /> Langfeld in regards to a joint meeting between the City of Lino Lakes, Centerville <br /> and the County in reference to the proposed stadium and Main Street issues. The <br /> meeting will be scheduled for Saturday March 4, 2000 at 8:30 am. at Mathews in <br /> Circle Pines. <br /> Appointment of Police Commissioner <br /> Mayor Wilharber has spoke to Robert Wright who resides at 7137 Brian Drive. <br /> Mr. Wright currently serves on the task force that has helped form the Tri-City <br /> Police Department. <br /> Motion by Mayor Wilharber, seconded by Council Member Nelson to <br /> appoint Robert Wright as the Centerville Tri-City Police Commission <br /> member. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> X.
