City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />November 10, 2009 <br />Motion by Council Member Paar, seconded by Council Member Fehrenbacher to <br />approve the October 28, 2009 Council Meeting Minutes as presented. All in favor. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />V. CONSENT AGENDA <br /> <br /> <br />1.City of Centerville October 29, 2009 through November 10, 2009 Claims (Check <br />#24914 - 24934 (Check#24935 - 24957) <br />) <br /> <br />2.Centennial Fire District Claims through November 2, 2009 (Check #4012 - 4024) <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Paar, seconded by Council Member Broussard Vickers <br />to approve the Consent Agenda as amended. All in favor. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />VI. AWARDS/PRESENTATIONS/APPEARANCES <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />VII. OLD BUSINESS <br /> <br /> None. <br /> <br /> <br />VIII. NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br /> <br />1.Res. #09-032 – Authorization of Condemnation of Trail Project Easement <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson reviewed the list of easements that the City needs to obtain in <br />order for the Centerville Regional Trail Link to move forward. <br /> <br />The City Council discussed property owner’s awareness of the condemnation process and <br />concerns that Staff should initiate a final courtesy call contacting the remaining persons <br />noted on the list. Concerns regarding Councilmembers not knowing if property owners <br />have been personally spoken to by City Staff and if persons were contesting or just not <br />responding to information that has been sent to them, were also discussed. City <br />Administrator Larson indicated that there were approximately three property owners that <br />he hasn’t spoken to personally. It was the consensus of the Council for Staff to make a <br />final courtesy call to the property owners on the easement list that haven’t been spoken to <br />ensuring that they understand the process that is commencing. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Fehrenbacher, seconded by Council Member Paar to <br />approve Res. #09-032 – Resolution Authorizing Condemnation of Private Property <br />for Public Trail and Sidewalk Easements.
