Planning and Zoning Commission <br />June 1, 2004 <br />Meeting Minutes <br />Chair Hanson asked if there are any specific EPA issues with runoff. <br />Mr. Shudy indicated they would need to have an EPA storm water permit and then <br />explained that they have a pond on site and a water reclaimer that reuses a lot of water. <br />Mr. Palzer indicated that he has reviewed the plan and he thinks having everything inside <br />the building is good for dust control. He then commented that Mr. Shudy runs a clean <br />operation and the use of the reclaimer for saving water helps control runoff issues. <br />Council Liaison Broussard Vickers asked if the driveways would be removed by the <br />property owner across the street. <br />Mr. Shudy indicated that he would be discussing the matter with the adjoining property <br />owner and hopes to get an easement from him. <br />Commissioner Wilharber asked where sewer and water comes in. <br />st <br />Mr. Shudy indicated that it comes down 21 from Lino. <br />2. Letter of Interest Mr. Jeff Hanzal <br />Motion by Commissioner Wilharber, seconded by Commissioner Lakso to <br />recommend that Mr. Hanzal be appointed to the Planning Commission. All in <br />favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br />VI. DISCUSSION ITEMS <br />Chair Hanson told the Commission that the townhome project will not be coming to the <br />City because they did not get the TIF financing. He then said that the developer has <br />indicated a desire to develop in Hugo. He further indicated that it looks like the office <br />townhomes may not be built either. <br />1. Ordinance #4 – New Format <br />Chair Hanson suggested clarifying the section on height of buildings and where the <br />measurement is taken from. <br />The Commission asked Mr. Palzer to conduct some research and make a <br />recommendation as to how to measure height. <br />Council Liaison Broussard Vickers asked whether the moratorium would need to be <br />extended so that the Commission would have more time to review the proposed changes <br />to Ordinance #4. <br />Page 2 of 4 <br /> <br />
