Ms, Lien reported thatt there were over 40 people in attendance. Additionally, ' <br /> appro�cimately nine out of ten children and their parents e�ressed interest in a skate park !, <br /> over a BMX track. Mr. Peterson commented that perhaps the Lions Club would be I <br /> willing to donate some of their charitable gambling proceeds towazds #he funding of a <br /> skate pazk. Ms. DeVine suggested the property behind City Hall as a location for a park, <br /> but after discussion, the committee felt there were too many safety concerns related to the <br /> fire hall and parking Iot. ' <br /> � <br /> Proposed Trail Map — Review Map from Enn�,ineer <br /> The Parks and Recreation Committee reviewed the proposed trail map provided by Dan <br /> Schluender (Bonestroo) and were very pleased with the results. The comtnittee would <br /> like to see the addition of all poncts, shaded in blue, indicated on the map. Ms. Lien will <br /> submit the request to Mr. Schluender. <br /> Tree Placement at Parks <br /> Mr. Porter explained that most of the trees hav�e been planted at the parks. There is one <br /> tree that the committee would like to see moved at Tracie McBride Park that is too close <br /> to the power lines. Approxirnately 30 trees have been planted, with the balance to be <br /> planted in the spring. <br /> Future TraiLs / Draft Trail Plan Undate <br /> Mr. LeBlanc submitted an updated "Future TraiLs Plan" to be approved by the Pazks and <br /> Recreation Committee and forwazd�d on to the appropria.te parties involved. <br /> 2 <br />
