Chairperson Michael Navin called the meetirig to order at 6:30 p.m.
Present: Chairperson Michael Navin
Karla DeVine
Doug Porter
Wayne LeBlanc
Council Member Terry Sweeney (lia.ison)
Absent: Dale Larson
Staff: Jill Lien
Jim March
APPEARANCES
Satellite Enclosure at Acorn Creek Park — Revoir Street Residents
Ms. Aimee Fairbrother (1844 Revoir Street) explained she had appeared before the City
Council on May 10, 2000 on behalf of Craig Borcowicz who was unable to attend the
meeting. Mr. Borcowicz was offering to construct an enclosure (two sides) around the '
satellite at his own expense, which would create a more pleasurable appearance than the '
satellite itself. Ms. Fairbrother also ecplained that most of the residents on Revoir Street
would like to see the satellite moved to another location. Ms. Fairbrother shared that Mr.
Borcowicz and her selfls ariginal thoughts were to place the sanitation unit where the
bonfire was located at the Citywide Bonfire last fall. This location is 25 feet south of
where it is currently located.
Lisa Abrahamson (1868 Revoir Street) explained that she would like to see the sanitation
unit placed back behind the "little tot" section of the play structure.
Monica Travis (7335 Brian Drive) shared her concern about the placement of the satellite
within her neighborhood. Ms. Travis polled her surrounding neighbors, and learned that
most did not care about the placement of the satellite, adding they have more important
things to worry about. Ms. Travis shared that in her conversations with her neighbors,
they requested that no more money be spent on this park.
1
