Subject: Trails Coordination Meeting for Northeast Metro (Version 2)
The first minutes sent electronically had typos on 2 email addresses (Jon Olson and Robyn LaCasse). The list above
should have those corrected. Also, the 4th paragraph under Results was added, and the 2nd paragraph under Time
Critical Actions was added.
Thanks.
THANKS!!!
Thank you all for attending the Trails Coordination meeting Sep 25! Much was accomplished in understanding the plans and
directions of neighboring communities. I believe we reached a common goal and we can proceed towazd that goal. As best as I can
determine, here are the results of the meeting.
RESULTS
I will prepare another proposal reflecting the changes. Areas "A" (Highway 14 just east of 35E), "B" (Highway 14 just west of 35E)
and "M" (a southem route to Otter Lake Park along 20') on the handout will be deleted in favor of one pedestrian bridge at azea "N"
(Clearwater Creek and 35E). (Note that a trail on the loop of Main St, Lamotte Park, south of Center St, and up 20 (areas "C I H T')
might still provide for a pedestrian bridge at 35E if that became the only oprion.) The trail will continue straight south from area "K"
(St Paul Water easement from Lamotte Park south) to get to Otter Lake Park with a spur to "L" (the southeast comer of Birch and
Centerville Road) on Birch St.
Anoka County Parks will help to get the new plan into the Met Council planning process.
