ANNOUNCEMENTS/UPDATES

1.City Administrator Dallas Larson

City Administrator Larson reported on the trail project stating that Staff has obtained the
Right of Way Certificate which confirms that all of the easements in order and Staff
would be submitting it to the State tomorrow.

City Engineer Statz stated that the Right of Way Certificate is the keystone document to
the submittal of the project. He briefly reviewed the submitting and approval process of
State and Federal offices, noting he anticipates the bid award to occur in July, considering
that all of the submitted documentation will need review and approval by both State and
Federal officials.

2. Mayor Capra (Fete des Lacs Parade)

Mayor Capra reported that former Councilmember Lee would not be assisting with the
parade this year so she and Councilmember Paar would try to expedite the planning and
process. The Lions are requesting the City hold the parade the same day as their ball
tournaments and street dance. She explained the only glitch to address is last year’s
circumstance where the parade was cancelled due to the weather and some of the
participants were not paid. Therefore, some of those participants had stated they would
not participate in future parades.

The City Council discussed having some sort of participation event policy/participation
contract as well as a good will gesture made to try and get those participants back.

After discussion it was agreed to move forward with the event and direct Staff to contact
and discuss the intentions of past participants. City Administrator Larson and Mayor
Capra would also review the policy and send letters.

3.
