He stated he <br /> ' feels they were not treated decently. He also stated that they are the general public and <br /> not attomeys, who thought thax information received from the City could be comfortably <br /> reli�d upon. <br /> Council Member Capra commented she had met with the Blakes and understands their <br /> concerns with regard to varying from the approved plan. She stated she understands the <br /> importance of the line of sight with lake front properly. She stated she feels City <br /> �mploy�es did what th�y felt was appropria.te at the time, and tha.t it is unfortunate that <br /> the information the Blakes relied upon was incorrect. She then offered her apologies to <br /> them for the way the situation was handled. <br /> Conncil Member Travis suggested the City should do some research as he believes in I <br /> mast communities th�re is a minimum and a maximum setback requzrement. '� <br /> Mrs. Blake stated she does not want restitution but wants a consistent plan that wi11 be <br /> followed for all residents. She then stated she felt they were treated unfairly and she <br /> hopes there is a way to corrsct the problem from this point forward. '�� <br /> Counci� Member Nelson apologized for the way the Blakes were treated. She stated it is <br /> important to her that aII residents are treated fairly and she thinks Staff does that. She i <br /> stated it is u.nfortunate that the inforrnation Staffrelied upon when advising the Blakes ��, <br /> was incorrect. She agreed with Council Member Travis that the City needs to look at '� <br /> amending the ordinance with minimum and maximum setback requirements. ��, <br /> Mrs. Blake thanked Councii for its time. <br /> VII. Ea�le Pass Sketch Plan. <br /> Mike Quigley representing Gor-em Development addressed Council and showed the <br /> sketch plan for Eagle Pass. He explained Council Member Broussard Vickers had asked <br /> at the Planning and Zoning Comznission meeting that something be done to screen the <br /> road that went through the back yards of the existmg homes. He pointed out how the <br /> street was redesigned to screen it from the backyards with different types of plantings. <br /> Page � of 15 <br />
