City Councit Meeting Minutes <br /> June 13, ZOQI <br /> � <br /> ' Council Member Capra asked if Mr. March could get the information far the Barons. Mr. <br /> March indicated he would get the information from Mr. Palzer. <br /> Council Member Capra questioned whether mediation would be allowed for this matter. <br /> Mr. Hoeft indicated mediation would not be allowed at this time. <br /> Mayor Swedberg noted there was still a window open for the Barons to bring the <br /> property into compliance. Ms. Baron indicated she understood that. <br /> Council Member Capra indicated that, on a personal note, she knows how stressful these <br /> situations can be and stated she hoped resolution could be obtained. <br /> Ms. Baron asked when she could get information from Mr. March. Mr. March indicated <br /> he would have Mr. Palzer contact her tomorrow with what needs to be done to bring the <br /> property into compliance. <br /> 2. Mr. Steve McDonald (Abdo, Abdo, Eick & Meyers� '� <br /> Mr. McDonald, Abdo, Abao, Eick & Meyers, reviewed the audit with Council and I ', <br /> pointed out areas where improvements could be made with the City's record keeping. ' <br /> . Council Member Capra asked how the size of Centerville falls based on the sizes of the <br /> other.cities he audits. Mr. McDonald indicated Centerville fell right in the middle for the <br /> size of cities he audits. <br /> Mayor Swedberg indicated the xnanagement letter provided by Mr. McDonald was <br /> helpful and well written and thanked him far it. i <br /> � <br /> Council Member Nelson asked whether the discrepancies related to year-end adjustments I ', <br /> were due to not doing monthly bank reconciliation's. ' <br /> Mr. McDonald indicated he would need to look at the details to be sure but stated he feels <br /> year-end issues would play a role. <br /> Mr. McDonald indicated he could schedule a meeting to discuss reporting formats and <br /> what Council would like to see. <br /> Consensus was to arrange a meeting to discuss reporting formats. <br /> Mayor Swedberg asked if the City could get to the point of compliance with the new <br /> laws. Mr. McDonald indicated that the City could get to the point of compliance. <br /> Mayor Swedberg asked if depreciation would affect budgets. Mr. McDonald stated the <br /> City should change to follow the financial staternent format.
