� <br /> Apri13,2001 <br /> Planning & Zoning Coinmission Meeting Minutes <br /> Mr. March stated that the main reason the City is amending the Comprehensive Plan is to <br /> accommodate the request by the developer of Pheasant Marsh, Ground Development. <br /> The amendments will also contain the MUSA swap. Mr. March stated that parts of the <br /> Comprehensive Plan are out da.ted and same will be updated. <br /> Commissioner DeVine questioned whether there was a possibility of including Main <br /> Street as commercial zoning on the Comprehensive Plan. Mr. March stated it would be <br /> easier to handle rezones on Mai.n Street on a case-by-case basis. <br /> Mr. March stated that Mr. Schlavin has inquired whether the City would allow him to <br /> rezone his property to commercial. <br /> Consensus was to consider the rezone of Mr. Schlavin's property located on Main Street. <br /> 3. Ordinance #4 <br /> Mr. March stated that four (4) amendments are proposed to Ordinance #4. Massage <br /> Therapy businesses, in ground and above ground pools, mini-storage and minimum and <br /> m�imum setbacks for developments. <br /> Mr. March stated that a draft Massage Therapy Section would be available for review at <br /> the Commission's next meeting. I <br /> Mr. March stated that a draft addition covering in ground and above ground pool would <br /> also be available for review. Mr. March stated that currently, Ordinance for considers <br /> pools to be an Accessory Structure and limits the size to two (2} percent of the lot size. , <br /> Consensus was to allow in ground and above ground pools to be fifty (50) percent of the �' <br /> rear yard. Any pool that exceeds same, would be required to obtain a site plan review. <br /> Mr. March stated that draft requirements for mini-storage would also be available for <br /> review. <br /> Mr. March stated that he was currently consulting with the City Attorney regarding the <br /> issue of minimum and maximum setbacks for developments and same would be available <br /> for review. <br /> VI. DISCUSSION ITEMS <br /> Mr. March stated that Council would be interviewing landscape architecture firms in <br /> regards to the downtown area proposals submitted. Mr. March stated that Council would <br /> be hosting two (2) open houses at City Hall on Apri17, 2001 and April 10, 2001 to obtain <br /> public input regarding the Mayor's two-year goals for the City. <br /> Chairperson Hanson questioned whether Mr. March had any information on the training <br /> scheduled for April 21, 2001. Mr. March indicated that Teresa Bender had registered <br /> those Commissioners that had asked to attend the training. Commissioner Kilian stated <br /> Page 3 of 4 <br />
