I
* Curb and gutter has been installed in the first phase of Center Villa. The base course is
on schedule for Monday. I
* The park and recreation committee worked diligently to establish priorities for their I I,
budget at their meeting on Wednesday evening. This information will be presented to
Council by chairperson Navin at the November 24th meeting. I
* Lloyd Drilling has filed a rezone request for one of the Kenco lots. The !ot in question is
just rrth of Center Street and is approximately #hree acres in size. Mr. DriNing is asking
permission to be able to construct a 48-60 unit apartment building. The property is
currently zoned for commerciai.
* Rick Carlson is pursuing his plans to develop the property south of LaMotte Park. Mr.
Carlson appeared at the Planning and Zoning meeting to receive feedback on his sketch
plan. Mr. Carlson is not sure if he wants to pursue amending the comprehensive plan to be
able to develop in 2000 or just wait until January 1, 2001. This decision is ultimately left up
to City Council. As I have mentioned previously, the City should not consider amending the
comprehensive plan unless the City stands to receive some significant benefit.
* Thank you to Council member Travis who has volunteered to level the pea gravel at
Acorn Creek park with the use of a donated bobcat.
* City Hall will be closed next week Thursday in honor of Veteran's Day.
11 /5/99
