Ms. Dorn seconded the ', <br /> rnotion. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> OLD BUSINESS <br /> DESIGN TEAM - "IDEAS IN ACTION" <br /> City Theme: Ms. Dorn indicated she has reviewed the information from the Minnesota State <br /> Histary Center regarding the possibility of becoming a Certified Local Government. By becoming <br /> a Certified Local Government, the City would be eligible to receive grants from the state to assist <br /> in historical properties. Ms. Dorn stated there are many steps invo�ved in becaming a Certified <br /> Loca1 Government, and would need to begin by determizung if the City has building(s) of <br /> � historical value. If so, a Historicai Preservation Commission would need to be created, followed <br /> by developing an Ordinance for any future buildings in the designated "historical area." Ms. Dorn <br /> provided the cornmittee with copies of the information from the Minnesota History Center, alang <br />
