with a copy of the City of Stillwater's current ordinance for historical preservation. The
committee will review the information and this item will be placed on the August agenda for
discussion.
Portable Exhibit: Brian Bernier of Gator Signs was present to share his ideas as well as offer
options the committee may be interested in looking at when creating the three portable display
eibits. Mr. Bernier indicated that although he originally thought Yus company could scan the
pictures and recreate an identical image, the final image did not reflect the images details. Mr.
Bernier showed the cornmittee the image he created, and the committee concurred. Mr. Berneir
offered to check digital scanner prices from a business associate who currently runs a"blueprint"
company in Minneapolis. Mr. Berneir felt the price would be araund $SO rnore per print for
digital scanning from the original image or from the originallaminated prints. Mr. Bernier felt the
committee may want to cvnsider the scanning due to his company not being able to produce a'
detailed image. Mr. Bernier will contact Aimee Fairbrother by the end of the week with digital
scanner prices. The committee again discussed the possibility of creating the image on a hard
plastic materiat to be displayed on a easel verses a banner.
Expenditure Policy: Aimee Fairbrother stated City Administrator Jim March gave his approval on
the Design Team expenditure policy drafted by EDC. Mr. March indicated Cauncil approval was
not necessary on this itern. Therefore, the policy is currently in effect. Aimee Fairbrother added
that Wayne LeBlanc will be notified af the policy prior to the next Design Team meeting on
September 14th.
STAR CITY GOALS
The committee reviewed each goal and objective, requesting some changes be made, while others
were left the same. Included, is the final update of Star City Goals for 2000-2005.
EDC FL1ND-RAISERS
City Merchandise: I '
Sales thus f :
ar
Mugs S 1
Hats 7
T-shirts 24
Goif shirts 7
Sweatshirts 7
The committee discussed different options for retailers who would like to sell City merchandise at
their place of business.
