. '
i
❑ CNN would like to see a sma11 concrete slab located under the si that
>
anybody who worked on the installation of the park could place their hand
print. The top of the slap would read, "Hands that helped build the park".
❑ At the CNN meeting, we had discussed a approaching local businesses to
generate funds in order to purchase shade trees and landscaping in the park.
We have since decided against this due to Bill Bisek's participation in the
"Twin Cities Marathon" that will provide an estimated $5000 in funds for
Acom Creek Park's handicap accessibility. Any business/person sponsoring
Bill in this run will receive their name on a City banner to be donated by
Gator Signs, as well as having their name listed as a sponsor in the Quad
- Community Press.
❑ I have enclosed a flyer from Larson Landscape and Nursery, Inc. After
talking with the president of the company, he is willing to provide the City
with shade trees that stand up to twenty-four feet in height and are 4.0" in
caliber. This is a fantastic deal on trees of this size! The company delivers,
plants and guarantees the trees for two years. This should be looked into
soon, if we wanted to purchase trees for this park. .
I
