I think we are getting parks
and activities we can be very proud of. I also appreciate the focus on
"children" that Centerville seems to have. ! hope we can continue to
focus most of our time and attention to "children/family" parks and '
recreation.
As a resident, I would like to see "just one" park that was
focused on the adult resident, without the children. A more quiet
park, with a gazebo, flower gardens, a pond for birds, duck, geese,
small path with benches and inspirational signs placed intermittently. '
A place where people could go for a chat with friends, a peaceful
outside lunch, to read a book, to sort out a problem they are having.
A place were a couple can go to get away from the children for a
couple hours, to sort out their lives and family goals, rekindle their
relationship. A beautifu! peaceful place.
Our world of two working parents, raising an active family is
whirling through days and years, often without a quiet moment of
refuge to gain a better focus on whee they want their money, their
time, and their efforts to go. Individuals may find themselves in
midlife and wonder "What now?" Everyone has to take moments in
the seasons of their life to reflect and direct their own personal world.
A place with out a lot of noise and activity. I'd like to see Centerville
have a place like that.
