This issue wi11 also <br /> be brought to the attention of the Downtown Task Group members listed above. <br /> � A.tl American Award <br /> The committee viewed the All-American Award video presentation, and was in agreement <br /> that the award would be worth achieving. Paul Montain asked a few questions about the <br /> qualifications required. Mary Capra volunteered to review the information on the award <br /> and prepare a synopsis for the committee's February meeting. <br /> ' Vacanc� and Timeframe <br /> Tim Rehbine stated that Aimee Fairbrother has been talking with Joe Gaetz, and he has <br /> shown interest in the committee. Joe Goetz will be invited to the February EDC to obtain <br /> a better understanding about the committees goals and responsibilities. <br /> Februarv A�enda <br /> 1VIary Capra suggested that under Design Team -"Ideas in Action", a Heritage Museum <br /> heading should be added, with sub-titles listing the Studebaker and the Water Pump. <br /> Tim Rehbine suggested that the committee talk to Council member Theresa Brenner in <br /> regards to the "Business Person and the Citizen of the Year Awards." The Economic <br /> Development Committee would like the City Council's approval to set up guidelines and <br /> voting structure for the awards. Committea member Montain asked the committee why <br /> we do not have a plaque to recognize the past winners of these two awards. The <br /> comtnittee agreed that it would be a great idea to have a plaque to hang at City Hall with <br /> all the previous years winners listed. The plaque would also have additional space for the <br /> winners of future years. Prices will be addressed at the February meeting. � <br /> Although the next meeting date was set for February 9, 1999 at 6:00, it has since been <br /> chanaed. The Economic Development Committee will now meet February 11, 1999 at <br /> 6:30. This change is due to special appearances to be made by Penny Simonson and Lucy <br /> Thompson of the Minnesota Design Team. <br /> A�'ourn <br /> 1�lotion to adjourn at b:50 was made by Tim Rehbine.
