This suggestion attempts to keep the trail off of the road and a�vay from residential housing. Perhaps someone could work with the church to find some mutuallti beneficial anangement. For instance, perhaps the church woutd allow the trait if they could use the school for class space. The group identified a person who might pursue such arrangements. 3.Attempt to eusure a connection to the Wargo Nature Center. A connection to Wargo will most likely happen as long as #1 happens. Anoka Parks ha�e plans for the trail that woutd connect at Lamotte Park to snake through the park and reach Wargo. �.Connect to a possible Hugo traii. There are apparently plans for a trail to go from St Paul to Duluth through Hugo. A connection to that trail might be possible from 20 on a possible "Green�vay' along Cleanvater Creek east,or, perhaps it will have to nw on Counry 14 east to Hugo. In any case, according to Jun March, there aze plans to add another pipe to an easement area just south of Lamotte Park straight east to 20�'. This is apparently called the Centerville Tnterceptor project and offers an opportunity to put a trail rumiing east/west between Centerville road and 20 starting just south of Lamotte Park With the die�ing scheduled for the new uipe, a frail could be consturcted for not much more monev Now «�ould be the time to install the trail, before the land to the south is developed. This trail is highly recommended for two reasons. First, it will allow Centerville residents safe and convenient access to Lamotte Park. Second, when a connection is made to the Hugo trail, this route is tied nicely to the Anoka Park trails and it offers a route that is not near a busy street. It also runs close to a possible Greenway� route. if that ever happened. 5.**Complete a circie route around Centerville Lake. Property just north of the rectory seems available for purchase. Anoka County is apparently acquiring this property. This land is key to the Design Team idea allowing access to the lake as a scenic overlook and a route for a trail to circumna`�igate Centerville Lake. If at all possible, this land should be acquired for those pumoses. , 6.Investigate other possible trails or loops in the city. 20�' street ma� offer some trail possibilities, and there may be other areas where trails may be desirable. The timiug and opportunity couldn't be better► Public parking �r�ill be available in Lamotte Park and a fishing pier would be ideal. Jim explained that a$20k grant is avail�ble from the DNR. Peltier Lake has a fis�ung pier because of similar grant fiuids that �ti�ere available. 2.**Provide iake access and an overiook downtawn. As e�plained in the trails section #5, lakeshore property just north of the rectory is key. If this propert�� is not acquired no�v, the ciry or Anoka Counn� may never get another chance. I believe Jim March said there was a Natural Scenic grant that might cover some of this cost. 3.Provide a connection between the lakes. When Counry road 1� might be reconstructed as it �vill need to be at some point, pursue plans for a bridge to a11ow small boat traffzc between the lakes.
