CITY OF CENTERVILLE RESOLUTION 96-14 RESOLUTION DECLARING COST TO BE ASSESSED AND ORDERING PREPARATION OF PROPOSED ASSESSMENT WHEREASt costs have been estimated for the following improvement projects: a) the extension of water main west on Main Street from Peterson Trail to Mill Road to Progress Road, north to Westview Street and west on Westview and b) street improvement of Progress Road north of Main Street to a 9-ton road~ and street improvement ofWestview Street to a 9-ton road. The total estimated cost of the Improvement Project known as Main Street / Progress Road / Elementary School Watermain Extension is $414t676.26. NOWt THEREFORE~ BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY CODNCll.. OF CENTERVllLEt MINNESOTA 1. The portion of the cost of the projects to be paid by the city is hereby declared to be S73t88S and the portion of the cost to be assessed against benefited property owners is declared to be S405A02.13. 2. Assessments will be payable in equal annual installments extending over a period of 10 yearst the first of the installments to be payable on or before the first Monday in Januaryt 1997~ and bear interest at the rate of9 percent per annum from the date of the adoption of the assessment resolution. 3. The city clerk, with the assistance of the city consulting engineer is directed to forthwith calculate the proper amount to be specially assessed for the Improvement Projects against every assessable lo~ piece or parcel of land within the district affected, without regard to cash valuatio~ as provided by law ~ the clerk must file a copy of the proposed assessment in the city offices for public inspection. 4.
