<br />CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 96-18 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ORDERING IMPROVEMENT PROJECT AND AWARDING BID <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Centerville, Minnesota as follows: <br /> <br />Section 1. <br /> <br />Bac~ollnd' findinis. <br /> <br />1.01 Pursuant to Council resolution a public hearing on the Improvement of Main Street I <br />Progress Road I Elementary School Watermain Extension was set for April 10, 1996. Because of <br />a technical deficiency in the notice of the public hearing, the Clerk was instructed on Apri110, <br />1996 to mail and publish new notices of hearings on the Improvements to be held on May 8, <br />1996. <br /> <br />1.01 Pursuant to proper notice duly given as required by law, the Council has met, conducted <br />the hearing and afforded an opportunity to all persons choosing to he heard. <br /> <br />Section 2. <br /> <br />PrQject Ordered <br /> <br />2.01 The Improvements as proposed by the Engineer are ordered to be constructed. <br /> <br />2.02 The plans and specifications for the Improvements as prepared by the City Engineer are <br />re-approved. <br /> <br />2.03 It is the judgment of the City Council that the Improvements have no relationship to-1he <br />municipal comprehensive plan. <br /> <br />2.04 The Council declares its official intent to reimburse the costs of the Improvement~ now <br />esti'Nted to be $414,676.26, from the proceeds of tax exempt bonds to be issued by the city. <br /> <br />Section 3. <br /> <br />Awarditti Bid. <br /> <br />. 3.01 Pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the Improvement, bids were received, opened <br />.aad t.......ed according to law. And it appears that Ro-So Contracting of~.~~~ <br />is the lowest responsible bidder. <br /> <br />_:3.01 ., It is authorized and directed that the city enter into a contract with Ro-So Contracting of <br />..Cente.tWle,'MN.fm: the ~mprovement of the.
