City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />July 14, 2010 <br />VIII. NEW BUSINESS <br />Parks & Recreation Committee Reauest for Council's Consideration of Including <br />Hidden Shrine Park as Part of the Storm Water Reclamation Proiect <br />City Engineer Statz reviewed information from the Parks & Recreation Committee to <br />consider including Hidden Spring Park as part of the storm water reclamation project. <br />He indicated the cost to explore Hidden Spring Park being included in the storm water <br />reclamation project would be about $500. <br />Councilmember Broussard Vickers expressed concern with spending the additional <br />money at this time. Councilmember Love agreed with Councilmember Broussard <br />Vickers. <br />Motion by Council Member Fehrenbacher. seconded by Council Member Paar to <br />approve the Parks & Recreation Committee recommendation to include Hidden <br />Shrine Park as Part of the Storm Water Reclamation Proiect. All in favor. Motion <br />carried 3 — 2 ( Councilmember Broussard Vickers and Love opposed). <br />2. Adopt Revised Water SunDly Plan <br />City Administrator Larson reviewed background information and indicated the revised <br />Water Supply Plan makes changes required by the DNR. It specifically delays DNB's <br />requirement to monitor the water table drawdown on the wells until the next time the <br />pumps are pulled out for maintenance, or approximately seven years. <br />Motion by Council Member Love, seconded by Council Member Fehrenbacher to <br />adopt the Revised Water Sunnly Plan. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br />3. Consider Bids for 2010 Seal Coat Proiect <br />City Engineer Statz reviewed information regarding the bids for the 2010 Seal Project. <br />Motion by Council Member Broussard Vickers. seconded by Council Member <br />Fehrenbacher to approve Bids for the 2010 Seal Coat Proiect. All in favor. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br />4. Consider Bids for CDBG Water Service Line Proiect <br />City Engineer Statz reviewed information regarding the bids for the CDBG Water <br />Service Line project, noting the bids came in significantly higher than projected. He <br />suggested the City act as the general contractor for the project to reduce some of the <br />costs. <br />City Administrator Larson indicated that staff met with a local contractor to try to <br />Page 3 of 6 <br />3 <br />
