C GIS coordination and verifies receipt of record plan information. <br />Observes construction and enforces code requirements relating to utility <br />connections. <br />Performs assigned work to inspect or repair water mains, sewer lines, manholes, catch <br />basins and streets. <br />• Maintains roadways, including patching, filling potholes, paving, sweeping and snow <br />removal. <br />• Performs On -Call duties on a rotational basis after business hours and on weekends. <br />• Performs basic carpentry, cement work and minor building maintenance. <br />• Maintains and repairs wells, lift stations, related equipment and facilities, replacing <br />related parts as necessary to return equipment to serviceable condition. <br />• Performs other duties as apparent or assigned. <br />External Relationships with the Public <br />• Establishes a good working relationship with clear respectful communications with <br />citizens, businesses, commissions, consultants and representatives from other political <br />subdivisions. <br />• Represents the City to external groups in ways which enhance the image of Centerville <br />and serve the best interest of the City. <br />• Assures open communication, encouraging residents and businesses to be heard by the <br />Council. <br />Relationship with Council <br />• May be required to attend after -hour meetings of City Council, Commissions, etc., as <br />assigned or needed. May be required to prepare written reports for such meetings. <br />• Organizational Responsibility <br />• This position is expected to treat co- workers, residents, City officials, business owners <br />and the general public in a friendly, respectful and professional manner. <br />MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: <br />Education, Licenses and Experience <br />• High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Post high school training, <br />vocational school or civil engineering technology program, construction and/or related <br />field. Considerable experience in replacing or constructing new municipal <br />infrastructures. <br />• Within two years of employment, must be able to acquire Class D Water License and <br />Class SD Sanitary Sewer License <br />• CDL Driver's License <br />11 <br />
