City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />August 11, 2010 <br />VII. OLD BUSINESS <br />1. Bonestroo Updates <br />a. Recommendations for Rebidding -Trail Project <br />City Engineer Statz reviewed background information regarding rebidding the Trail <br />project. <br />Motion by Council Member Broussard Vickers seconded by Council Member <br />Fehrenbacher to concur with Anoka County's intention to rebid the Trail Proiect. <br />All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br />b. Update on Design -Downtown Storm Water Reclaim <br />City Engineer Statz shared the preliminary design drawings for the downtown storm <br />water reclaim project. He explained that with this system, there would be the possibility <br />of irrigating the ball fields for three weeks without precipitation. He proposed using a <br />larger sprinkler head around the park as a cost savings measure. <br />The City Council directed the City Engineer to obtain more information regarding the <br />large sprinkler head option. <br />VIII. NEW BUSINESS <br />2. Resolution #10-018; Electing to Participate in the Met. Livable Communities Act <br />Local Housing Incentives Account 2011-2020. <br />City Administrator Larson reviewed background information. <br />Motion by Council Member Fehrenbacher, seconded by Council Member Love to <br />adopt Resolution #10-018, Electing to Participate in the Met. Livable Communities <br />Act Local Housing Incentives Account 2011-2020. All in favor. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />3. Property at 1630 Hunters Ridge Lane and hydroseeding versus sod on new <br />rnnetn wtinn <br />City Administrator Larson reviewed background information from the City Ordinance <br />regarding use of sod at new construction. <br />Councilmember Broussard Vickers proposed delaying the 14 day notice to sod due to the <br />fact that August is not the best time to put sod down and suggested the Planning & <br />Zoning Commission add it to their upcoming agenda. <br />Page 3 of 4 <br />
