<br />Lateral benefit may be provided by connection to trunk, subtrunk <br />or lateral pipes. The calculation of lateral benefit from a trunk <br />or subtrunk pipe will be based on the cost of an 8 inch pipe along <br />the same alignment for commercial or industrial zoned property <br />and a 6 inch pipe for all other areas. <br /> <br />8: Infrastructure Rehabilitation Projects <br />Any project or portion of a project which reconstructs an existing <br />water system facility. A rehabilitation project may occur on the <br />existing alignment of the water line or on a new alignment thus. <br />allowing the existing line to be abandoned or its status down- <br />graded (i.e.. trunk or subtrunk to lateral). <br /> <br />B. Determining Watermain Assessment Rates <br /> <br />1. Trunk. Subtrunk. Storage and Treatment Facility Rates <br />Any lateral and building service assessments described below will <br />be deducted from the total improvement cost to be assessed. The <br />remaining costs shall be spread equally to all properties which <br />lie within the approved Service District. The costs shall be <br />spread on a gross area basis and will be known as all or any of <br />the following as appropriate; trunk. subtrunk. source. storage and <br />treatment assessment. <br /> <br />2. Watermain Lateral Rates <br />The building service assessments described below will be deducted <br />from the total improvement cost to be assessed. The amount <br />remaining after said deductions will be assessed by the <br />following method. The resulting assessment will be known as a <br /> <br />13 <br />
