Birkebak then requested that the city develop an ordinance prohibiting the use of off -road dirt bikes <br />and related equipment in the city due to problems in several areas including the BN tracks. <br />Magnuson then reported on street maintenance projects No. 96-01 and No. 96-02, stating completion <br />would be prior to the next meeting, Following the report and upon motion duly made (Birkebak) and <br />seconded (Nielsen), Improvement No. 96-01 was approved for assessment. Also, upon motion duly made. <br />(Nielsen) and seconded (Birkebak), Improvement No, 96-02 was approved for assessment <br />Mayor Emeott reported that Septic.Inspections should be complete by early September. <br />Magnuson then reported on pending deregulation of utilitylelectric companies based upon a letter <br />from NSP, a copy of which is retained in the NSP file,. <br />Following discussion regarding the Suburban Rate Authority, a copy of which is attached hereto as <br />Exhibit "B", the matter died due to a lack of motion. <br />aside. <br />Following discussion and in the absence of a motion, a Resolution to Meredith Cable TV was set <br />Magnuson then reported he continues to pursue acquisition of the Ayde property. <br />Discussion of the deer problem lead to a request that Magnuson discuss the problem with the DNR <br />and advise the council. <br />Budget and levy discussions were postponed until the September meeting. <br />Magnuson reminded the council of pending elections and filing dates. <br />The Treasurer's Report, a copy of which is attached hereto as Exhibit "C" and indicating a balance <br />in the General Fund of'$71,385.67 and in the Sewer Fund of $42,011.97 was, upon motion duly made <br />(Birkebak) and seconded (Nielsen), unanimously approved. <br />Payment of bills totaling $7,667:83 and attached hereto as Exhibit "D was, upon motion duly made <br />(Nielsen) and seconded (Birkebak), unanimously approved. <br />There being no further business and upon motion duly made (Birkebak) and seconded (Nielsen), the <br />meeting was adjourned at 8:55 pm. <br />AUTHORED: 16 September 1996 <br />APPROVED: 16 September 1996 <br />ATTEST: ATTEST: <br />?ar <br />Frederic C. . son Paul R.
