Magnuson then reported on VLAWMO's request for review of new developments within the city and stated that he felt it would be a good policy for adoption. Copies were sent to Arend and Cavett. Magnuson then reported on Ramsey County's attempts to establish a Model Telecommunications Ordinance for placement of towers upon county owned property. A memo from County Manager Schutten is attached hereto as Exhibit "E". Magnuson then reported on a proposed county curfew ordinance, a copy of which is attached hereto as Exhibit "F". No action was taken although revision of the city's curfew ordinance may be appropriate at a later date. Discussion of electric utility deregulation followed with no action taken. Mayor Emeott suggested that discussion of long term state aid for roadways with Representative Broecker following installation of elected officials in January might be appropriate. The topic relates to long term funding of roadway maintenance associated with turn backs. Mr. Nordstrom was then recognized. The Treasurer's Report, a copy of which is attached hereto as Exhibit "G", and indicating a balance in the City's General Fund of $67,981.69 and in the City's Sewer Fund of $27,238.85 was, upon motion duly made (Igo) and seconded (Nielsen), unanimously approved. Payment of bills totaling $5,478.92 and attached hereto as Exhibit "H" was, upon motion duly made (Igo) and seconded (Nielsen), unanimously approved. Upon motion duly made (Igo) and seconded(Nielsen), the 1997 Budget including a 1997 Tax Levy of $90,000 was unanimously adopted as Resolution No. 96-18 , a copy of which is attached hereto as Exhibit "II", The next meeting of the City Council will be on Tuesday, 21 January 1997 at 7:00 pm. The Clerk was ordered to publish the change. There being no further business and upon motion duly made (Nielsen) and seconded (Kunin), the meeting was adjourned at 8:04 pm.
