CITY OF GEM LAKE <br />RESOLUTION NO. 97-21 <br />12 December 1997 <br />WHEREAS; The Country Lounge has applied for renewal of a Retail Tobacco License for the period 01 <br />January 1998 through 31 December 1998; and. <br />WHEREAS, said applicant has been similarly licensed in prior years in the City of Gem Lake; and <br />WHEREAS, said applicant has operated the establishment. without incident during 1997; and <br />WHEREAS, the State Of Minnesota has enacted legislation, reference Chapter 2271 H.F. 117, requiring <br />local units of government to establish or update local ordinances regulating retail tobacco sales and <br />providing for compliance checks, the cost of which shall be born by the licensee; and <br />WHEREAS, t1}e City Council has by means of Resolution No. 97-16 to establish a Tobacco Compliance <br />Ordinance to become effective 28 February 1998. <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Gem Lake does hereby <br />approve extension of the following 1997 license to The Country Lounge until 28 February 1998; and <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City retains the right of revocation at any time in the event of <br />violation of State laws regarding the retail sale of tobacco products. <br />RETAIL TOBACCO PRODUCTS RESELLERS LICENSE <br />
