Following discussion and motion by Bosak and second by I3irkcbak. the following distributions of charitable gambling <br />voluntary contributions were approved: <br />Willow Lane School Extended reading program, globes and maps $ 2,800 <br />White Bear Emergency Food Shelf Ongoing support $ 1,200 <br />RC Friends of Parks & Trails Ongoing support $ 210 <br />TOTAL 2001 DISTRIBUTION ALL PROJECTS $ 4,210 <br />Discussion of (Proposed) Ordinances No. 77 and No. 78 followed. It was recommended that staff send a letter of the public <br />hearing for tire inspections to each business owner as supplemental to public notice given. <br />Emeott discussed the matter ofdefinition came businesses in residential districts stating concern over home day care where <br />traffic and large numbers of small children could represent a nuisance. The matter is under discussion with no imminent decision <br />pending. Jodi Lorenz asked about her day care and foster cars arrangements and was advised that no plan currently is under <br />consideration that would impair the concept. <br />Magnuson reported that a second organization studying rail transit to be potentially routed along our northern border has <br />emerged and that this seems to be another example of tax pavers paying for the same work twice. <br />Mr. Lindner was recognized and identified he has taken on the task of historian and has completed some research already. <br />He will keep us advised as he proceeds. <br />Motion by Birkebak, second by Bosak to accept Treasurer's Report as presented by Magnuson was unanimously approved. <br />Motion by Birkebak, second by Bosak to Transfer $ i 5,000 from the Sewer Fund to the Sewer Investment Fund and to reinvest all <br />funds as CD's with Premier Bank was unanimously approved. <br />Emeott noted the next meeting will be on Monday. 21 May 2001. <br />There being no further business. the meeting was adjourned at 9:10 pm by Emeott on motion by Birkebak, second by Bosak <br />and unanimous vote. <br />AUTHORED: 15 May 2001 <br />APPROVED: 21 Mav 2001 <br />ATTEST: <br />Frederic C.
