CITY OF GEM LAKE <br />MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING <br />APPLICATION FOR VARIANCE NO. 2005-03 <br />JUNE, 2005 <br />A Public Hearing for the purpose ofreceiving publiccomment on an Application for a Variance from Section <br />19,5(1), Ordinance. No. 43 was convened by. Mayor Emeott on Monday, 20 June 2005 at 7:00 PM in the first floor <br />meeting room of `fousley Ford located. at 1493 East County Road E. in Gem Lake, Ramsey County, Minnesota. Mayor <br />Emeott, Councilors Watson, Bosak, Rasmussen and Schilling, Alternate Planning Chairman Lindner, Planning Appointee <br />Craig Rafferty, and Dan and J.osephone.Osterkamp were present. <br />Magnuson then reported that the matter had been ..properly published to be convened before the Planning. <br />Commission on 07 June 2005. In the absence of a quorum„ Alternate Planning Chairman Lindner set the matter over to <br />he heard by the City -Council on this day and all present were so notified. <br />Mr.. Lindner was recognized and advised that those of the Planning Commissionwho had reviewed the matter felt <br />it was appropriate to issue the variance as doing so would abate parking problems created by the absenceof the space <br />provided by the variance. Mr. Lindner also noted that it was the opinionof those present for the Planning Commission <br />that the matter could easily be decided by the City Council nad all related matters handled by the Zoning Administrators <br />and City Engineer. <br />Mr. Magnuson reported thatno opposing .state rnems •have been received regarding the matter. <br />Mr. Osterkamp briefly explained his intentions and needs. <br />Mr. Magnuson reported that the variance was consistent with variances granted other propertyowners in the GB(I <br />district, citing the Geier and Arnco properties. <br />There being no further business, the hearing was closed at 7:12 pm. <br />ATTEST <br />city of Gem Lake <br />Xecterso �o.
