MINUTES OF A MEETING OF THE JURISDICTIONS <br />THAT CONTRACT WITH THE RAMSEY COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT <br />FOR POLICE SERVICES <br />DECEMBER 18, 2008 <br />The meeting was called to order at 8:13 a.m., at the Ramsey County Sheriff's <br />Department Patrol Station Conference Room— 1411 Kirkwold Drive, Arden Hills. <br />The following members were present: <br />• George Altendorfer, Ramsey County Sheriffs Department <br />• Tim Dunleavy, City of North Oaks <br />• Joel Hanson, City of Little Canada <br />• Ron Moorse, City of Arden Hills <br />• Jan Reagan, White Bear Township <br />• Mike Salter, Ramsey. County Sheriffs Department <br />• Terry Schwerin, City of Shoreview <br />• Bill Short, White Bear Township / Gem Lake <br />• Gerry Urban, City of Vadnais Heights <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES. <br />The Minutes of November 20, 2008, were approved as written. <br />APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br />The Agenda was approved as submitted. <br />ANNUAL DEPARTMENT PERFORMANCE REPORT <br />Short reviewed the items (in part) on the 2008 Ramsey County Sheriff Annual <br />Review list, as follows: <br />WHAT WENT WELL IN 2008 <br />• Patrol Division leadership continues to be very responsive (LC, WBT) <br />• Improvements in general visibility have been noted (LC) <br />• Continued responsiveness to traffic concerns (LC, VH, WBT) <br />• Implementation of motorcycle traffic patrol identified as valuable service <br />(LC, WBT) <br />• VIPS & Reserve Program continue to be tremendous asset in addressing <br />special projects and community events (LC) <br />• Winter No Parking enforcement better (LC) <br />• Republican National Convention well handled with minimal impact to on- <br />going performance in contracting jurisdictions (LC, VH, WBT) <br />• Gas Drive -Off Program excellent idea (LC, VH) <br />
