Minutes <br />Sheriff Contract Group Meeting <br />Deceniber18,2008 <br />CONFIRM CONTRACT GROUP OFFICERS & ROTATION <br />It was noted that White Bear Township was taken out of the proposed rotation <br />until 2016, due to Short being Chair in 2008, and that he has been representing <br />both WBT & Gem Lake. <br />Urban noted that that in 2017, North Oaks should be listed as the Secretary <br />(versus Vice -Chair). <br />The Officers and Rotation List was approved with the change as noted. <br />ANIMAL CONTROL ISSUES — Dangerous Dog State Law Changes / <br />Microchip. Licensing <br />Schwerm distributed information on the proposed changes to state law with <br />regard to dangerous and potentially dangerous dogs. He noted that it still needs <br />revision. He stated that he will e-mail the information when it is available. He <br />reported that the Sheriff's Department has offered to be the Hearing Officer for <br />these matters. <br />Short distributed the potentially dangerous dog signs to each community. <br />PATROL DIVISION REPORT <br />Altendorfer reported that budget cuts will be forthcoming at the County level, and <br />that the Sheriff will discuss the impact at next month's meeting. <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />The meeting adjourned at 9:52 a.m. The next meeting will be held on Thursday, <br />January 15, 2009, at the Ramsey County Sheriff's Department Patrol Station <br />Conference Room. <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />Jan Reagan, Recording Secretary <br />
