Definition: Structure(s) accompanying a commercial use <br />with large parking requirements, intended to maintain store- <br />fronts and entrances on the public street. A Collar Building <br />configuration permits an exception to Design Standards, al- <br />lowing the primary entrance of the Single -Use Building to <br />face an interior parking lot instead of the frontage street. The <br />Collar Building can be integrated with the Single Use Build- <br />ing, built with common walls, or separated by up to 20' for <br />vehicle access or a pedestrian arcade. The side and rear fa- <br />cades of the Single -Use Building which are not screened from <br />the street by the Collar Building must satisfy Design Stan- <br />dards applicable to side and rear facades. <br />Lot Size and Placement: <br />See single -use building <br />Parking: <br />2 spaces per 1,000 sf of retail/office <br />space; any off-street space required <br />should be shared with central <br />single -use building parking <br />Building Disposition <br />Building Footprint and Mass: <br />Footprint: within maximum footprint allowed to the Single <br />Use Building on the site, no minimum/maximum size. <br />Building Placement and Relation to Streets: <br />Standard set of retail/commercial frontage choicer for each separate tenant space. <br />Strongly consider varying frontage tspc along facade.
