CITY OF GEM LAKE, MN 4200 Otter Lake Road Gem Lake, IVIN 55110-3227 Telephone 651-747-2790 E-mail City( gemlakeMN.o.rg Gem Lake Planning Commission Meeting I September 2009 The regular meeting of the Planning Commission of Gem Lake was called to order by Chairman Craig Rafferty on Tuesday, September 1, 2009 at 7:02 p.m. in the Gem Lake City Hail meeting room. The following members were present: Chairman Craig Rafferty, Planning Commission members Beth Herzog, and Daniel Marier. Mayor Robert Uzpen was also present. APPROVAL OF AGENDA AND MEETING MINUTES Planning Commission Agenda: Chairman Rafferty asked for ariy changes, deletions or added agenda items. None was given, so proceeded to move forward with the meeting. Planning Commission Minutes: Chairman Rafferty called to approve the August Planning Commission meeting minutes. The August Planning Commission'; minutes were discussed and upon motion by Marier and seconded by Herzog, the August minutes were approved. Ayes — 3, Nays — 0. NEW BUSINESS Conditional Use Permit Review for 3622 Schueneman Road: Dennis Newcomb and Rick Wilson attended the meeting to introduce themselves to the Planning Commission and to explain a little bit about their businesses. A memo. written by Tom Riedesel from White Bear Township was passed out along with pictures of what the completed project will look like. Both Mr. Newcomb and Mr. Wilson got up to speak about their involvement with the businesses. Mr. Newcomb will do the auto sales end of it and Mr. Wilson will do the auto repair. The name chosen for the business is Four Seasons Automotive Service and Sales. Discussion with the Planning Commission was iri regards to hours of business, minimum/maximum of cars for sale on the lot. They will be adding additional security lights. They have applied for a dealer's license, but not received it yet. They would like to have thepublic hearing as soon as possible. Look for us on the World Wide Web at gemlakemn.org
