The new <br />watershed boundary lines were approved by each ofyour communities last year. The.. Minnesota Board <br />of Water and: Soil Resources approved the petitions for change last March. One last step remains. <br />A new legal description of the Vadnais Lake Area Water Management. Organization (VLAWMO) has been <br />developed by Stevens Engineering and is enclosed. The legal description, watershed map and the <br />experience of the technical experts who generated it have been reviewed by the VLAWMO legal <br />counsel. <br />"Based upon his (Joe Grandburg, Stevens) certification, his training and experience, and the <br />methodology explained tome, it is my opinion that the VLAWMO Board may rely upon the legal <br />description and map prepared by Stevens.' Roger Jensen, VLAWMO legal counsel <br />VLAWMO asks all of our member communities to amend the VLAWMO Joint. Powers Agreement by <br />replacing the previous legal description with the new Appendix A including.: both the updated legal <br />description and the attendant: map. <br />A sample. draft Resolution of Amendment to the JPA is also enclosed for your use.
