CITY OF GEM LAKE, MN <br />4200 Otter Lake Road <br />Gem Lake, MN 55110-3227 <br />Telephone 651-747-2790 <br />E-mail City- ,gemlakeMN.org <br />Minutes of Gem Lake City Council Meeting <br />18 May 2010 <br />The regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Gem Lake was called to <br />order by Mayor Uzpen on Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at 7:00 pm in the Gem Lake <br />City Hall meeting room. <br />The following members were present: Mayor Robert Uzpen, Councilmembers <br />James Lindner and Gretchen. Artig-Swomley. Councilmembers Richard Bosak <br />and Thomas Rasmussen were absent. Other members of the public attended per <br />the sign in sheet sent around the room. <br />APPROVAL OF AGENDA AND MEETING MINUTES <br />City Council Agenda: Mayor Uzpen called for additions, deletions and <br />corrections to the agenda. A correction was made to the date of the April, 2010. <br />Planning Commission minutes. Upon motion by Councilmember Artig-Swomley, <br />and seconded by Councilmember Lindner, the agenda was approved for May 18, <br />2010..Ayes — 3, Nays — 0. <br />City Council April Meeting Minutes: The April, 2010 minutes were presented <br />and corrections were needed. Upon motion by Councilmember Artig-Swomley, <br />and seconded by Councilmember Lindner, the minutes of April 2010 were <br />accepted with corrections being made. Ayes — 3, Nays — 0. <br />Planning Commission April Meeting Minutes: The April, 2010 minutes were <br />presented and corrections were needed. Upon motion by Councilmember Artig <br />Swomley, and seconded by Councilmember Lindner, the Planning Commission <br />minutes of April, 2010 were accepted with corrections being made. <br />Ayes 3, Nays-0. <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />Newsletter: The council discussed combining the June and July newsletter. <br />Some suggestions were made on doing a profile on a long-term City Council. <br />member — Claire Nielson. In addition, an article on the list of Mayors that served <br />on the City Council and listing the volunteers that served in the past. <br />Councilmember Lindner suggested to write an article on the first elected officials <br />of the. City of Gem Lake. Will also record the public hearing results. In addition, <br />
