CITY OF GEM LAKE MN <br />4200 Otter Lake Road <br />Gem Lake, MN 55110-3227 <br />Telephone 65.1-747-2790. <br />E-mail City@gernlakeMN.org <br />Minutes of Gem Lake City Council Meeting <br />19 April 2011 <br />The regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Gem Lake was called to order by <br />Mayor Uzpen on Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at 7:01 pm in the Gem Lake City Hall meeting <br />room. <br />The following members were present: Mayor Robert Uzpen, Councilrnembers James <br />Lindner, Gretchen Artig-Swomley, Richard Bosak and Thomas Rasmussen. Members <br />of the public attending per the sign in sheet sent around the room. <br />APPROVAL OF:AGENDA AND MEETING MINUTES <br />City Council Agenda: Mayor Uzpen called for additions, deletions and corrections to <br />the agenda. Upon motion by Councilmember Artig-Swomley, and seconded by <br />Councilmember Rasmussen, the agenda was approved for April 19, 2011. Ayes — 5, <br />Nays — 0. <br />City Council March Meeting Minutes: The March, 2011 minutes were presented and <br />corrections were needed. Upon motion by Councilmember Lindner, and seconded by <br />Councilmember Rasmussen, the minutes of March 2011 were accepted with corrections <br />being made. Ayes — 5, Nays -- 0. <br />Planning Commission February Meeting Minutes: There was not a Planning <br />Commission meeting in February. <br />OLD BUSINESS. <br />Newsletter: Councilmember Artig-Swomley is writing an article about Faith Kuny who <br />is the new Planning Commission Chair. In addition, a story on Gem Lake Police calls <br />versus the other communities. There have been sightings of two young Bald Eagles in <br />the Gem Lake area. Councilmember Artig-Swomley will announce the student who will <br />receive the scholarship in the June issue. In addition, tips on the spring clean-up being. <br />held May 21st at 9 a.m. at Gem Lake's City Hall. <br />PUBLIC HEARING <br />None. <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />
