Road <br />Gem Lake, MN 55110-3227 <br />Telephone 651-747-2790. <br />E-mail Citv(ze IakeMN.org <br />Minutes of Gem Lake City Council Meeting <br />20 December 2011 <br />The regular meeting. of the City Council the City of Gem Lake was called to order by .Mayor <br />Uzpen on Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at 7:00 pm. in the Gem Lake City Hall meeting room.. <br />The following mernbers were present: Mayor Robert Uzpen, Councilmembers James Lindner, <br />Gretchen Artig-Swomley, Richard Bosak and Thomas Rasmussen. Members of the public <br />attending per the sign in sheet sent around the room. <br />APPROVAL OF AGENDA AND MEETING MINUTES <br />City Council Agenda: Mayor Uzpen called. for .additions, deletions and corrections to the <br />agenda. Upon motion by Councilmember Artig-Swomley, and seconded by Councilmember <br />Rasmussen, the agenda was approved for December 20, 2011. <br />Ayes. - 5, Nays — 0. <br />City Council November Meeting Minutes:. The November 2011 minutes were presented and <br />corrections were needed. Upon motion by Councilmember Bosak, and. seconded by <br />Councilmember Lindner, the minutes of November 2011 were accepted with corrections being <br />made. Ayes.-5, Nays — 0. <br />Planning Commission November Meeting Minutes: The Planning Commission November <br />minutes were presented and corrections were needed. Upon motion by Councilmember Artig <br />Swomley, and seconded by Councilmember Bosak, the November Planning Commission <br />minutes were accepted. Ayes — 3 Nays — 0 Abstain - 2. <br />Planning Commission Chair Report: Chairperson Faith Kuny reported to the City Council <br />that the Planning Commission heard the development plan for La Roma regarding the parking <br />at the restaurant. The decision the Planning Commission had to make was regarding the <br />parking spaces for the restaurant. La Roma will have eight permanent parking spaces for their <br />restaurant and it will be stated in their lease with the owners of the building. For every 1,000 <br />square footage, they are required to have seven parking spaces and the restaurant will have <br />eight parking spaces for 735 square feet. The employees will be parking behind the building <br />by the trash area. At this time, the other half of the building is empty and eight parking spaces <br />will be available for any business going in there. <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />
