CITY OF GEM LAKE, MN <br />4200 Otter Lake Road <br />Gem Lake, MN 55110-3227 <br />Telephone 651-747-2790 <br />E-mail City( aemlakeMN.org <br />Gem Lake Planning Commission Meeting <br />1 November 2011 <br />The regular meeting of the Planning Commission of Gem Lake was called to <br />order by Chairperson Faith Kuny on Tuesday, November 1, 2011 at 7:03 p.m: at <br />the Gem Lake City Hall conference room. <br />The following members were present: Chairperson Faith Kuny, and Planning. <br />Commissioners Derrick Wippich, Arthur Pratt and Beth Herzog. Commission <br />Dan Marier was not in attendance. <br />Planning Commission Agenda: Chairperson Kuny asked for any changes, <br />deletions, or added agenda items. None was given and upon motion by <br />Commissioner Herzog and seconded by Commissioner Wippich; the. November <br />1, 2011 agenda was approved. Ayes — 4, Nays — 0. <br />October Planning Commission Minutes: The October Planning Commission <br />minutes were reviewed and upon motion by Commissioner Herzog and <br />seconded by Commissioner Pratt, the October minutes were approved. <br />Ayes-4, Nays-0. <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />Gateway Zoning/Parking: Chair Kuny stated at the last meeting the Planning <br />Commission was questioning whether it was chapter 20 or the Gateway that was <br />in effect for parking in the Gateway zone and City Attorney Trevor Oliver stated <br />they were both, as the. Gateway has been passed, but Chapter 20 was never <br />repealed. There are two Ordinances in place and suggest the Planning <br />Commission study and pass. <br />PUBLIC HEARING <br />Special Use Permit to Construct Oversized Garage: The Planning <br />Commission asked a few questions on where the garage was being built. Since <br />it's being built on flat ground next to the house there is no drainage issues. <br />Tom Riedesel from White Bear Township sent an email to Chair Kuny stating he. <br />will look up the drainage issue and the City's Engineer from SEH will look at the <br />
