Ayes — 5, Nays — 0. <br />A voice vote was taken: Mayor Uzpen — yes, Councilmember Bosak — yes, <br />Councilmember Lindner — Yes, Councilmember Artig-Swomley yes, and <br />Councilmember Rasmussen — yes. <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />Resolution 2012-13: There was extra money in the charitable gambling fund to go to <br />the Union Gospel Mission. Upon motion by Councilmember Rasmussen and seconded <br />by Councilmember Bosak, Resolution 2012-13 passes. Ayes — 5, Nays — 0. <br />Resolution 2012-14 -- Election Results: Upon motion by Councilmember Artig- <br />Swomiey and Councilmember Rasmussen, Resolution 2012-14 passes. Ayes — 5, <br />Nays — 0. <br />Claims for November: The claims for November was discussed and authorized to <br />pay. Upon motion by Councilmermber Lindner and seconded by Councilmember Bosak, <br />the claims for November passes. Ayes — 5, Nays — 0. <br />Monthly Financial Reports: The City Council received and reviewed the report. and <br />had no questions. <br />PRESENTATIONS FROM THE PUBLIC <br />Mr. Bolting stated he feels Ordinance 29 Dangerous Weapons is against the hunting. <br />Mayor Uzpen stated an article in the White Bear Magazine stated Gem Lake has <br />hunting and hunters came into the City and were knocking on resident's doors asking to. <br />hunt on their land. Gem Lake received many complaints regarding this. Mr. Fritz asked <br />what the City was doing to manage the deer over population in Gem Lake. Mayor <br />Uzpen explained how the Hunting Ordinance was created by viewing the surrounding <br />communities Hunting Ordinances. Mr. Boifing feels by winter deer will run out of food <br />will look for food in the City and will end up on the road hit by cars. Councilmember <br />Lindner feels the Hunting Ordinance is fine. Councilmember Artig-Swornley feels the <br />Ordinance is too strict. <br />Mr. Dave Imsdahl, 10440 Kelman Avenue North, Grant, Minnesota was asking for <br />approval for a hunting permit on Linda Hoeschlers land. Mr. Imsdahl was at the <br />October City Council meeting and was missing a couple of signatures and at this time <br />has all the signatures. Mr. Imsdahl has deposited the money for the permit and the <br />landowner had emailed the City Council giving her permission for Mr. Imsdahl to hunt <br />Look for u.s onthe World Wide Web at gemlakemn.org <br />
